In the journey of life, Labake had seen every kind of bloom.

There were crimson roses that demanded immediate, burning passion, wild lilies that promised fleeting thrills, and elegant orchids that proved too fragile for the storms of everyday life. Her suitors were like those vibrant, colorful flowers perched atop the car roof—striking, varied, and impossible to ignore, but scattered like loose petals on a moving vehicle. They were noise, a chaotic bouquet of possibilities, bright enough to draw every eye, yet lacking a true place to root in her heart. Then came the single yellow rose.

It did not sit atop the car with the rest of the noisy, competing display. Instead, Labake chose to place it right at the heart of her journey, fixed deliberately upon the front bonnet of the classic Beetle.

And she gently whispered

You’re THE CHOSEN.
